This was our second District FRC event and we couldn't have been more excited about it. It was an amazing weekend in Fort Worth, TX and we learnt a lot the second time around. Huge shoutout to Nolan Catholic High School for hosting the event and to FIRST in Texas for organizing the event. Our team pulled away from the event with the Quality Award giving us a chance to qualify for the FRC Texas State Championship. We will keep you updated on the news of our advancement...

State Events:
We had gotten enough points to make it to the state qualifiers! But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows just yet— we still needed to qualify. There were a tough and grueling 80 qualifying matches in total for all the teams. And at the end of it, we had achieved the seventeenth rank in our bracket. But was it enough? This question was at the forefront of our minds as the alliance selection commenced. And as teams started to finish making their alliances, we grew worried. Though we had a respectable amount of ranking points, it seemed that the unstable nature of our tank drive train utilizing robot discouraged other teams from picking us. After the final team captain finished their alliance, the results were in: we weren't picked. But it wasn't over yet! We were now the highest-ranked backup FRC team— and were hence obligated to stay. Although we were downcast about this result, we now had a chance to be a part of an alliance again and gain more ranking points— even if it was only as a backup team. And surprisingly, we'd later join alliance #3 as a backup team, and even go up all the way to our bracket's finals! But our 2023 FRC journey would come to an end here, after a loss to alliance #1 by 6 points. We cannot overstate how proud we are of our team's first FRC performance, and we're thankful to have won the Rookie Inspiration Award at districts!
